You can’t water a plant from an empty pot. In other words, you need to take care of yourself before you can take care of anyone else. Practicing self-care and self-love is the first step to finding a partner. If you don’t feel good about yourself, it will be even more difficult to give all you’ve got into a relationship. When you feel good, everyone notices – here are small steps you can make to feel better:
- Meditate. This is a proven method for relaxing and feeling calm. When you’re in a state of bliss, you instantly become more attractive to those around you. Giving off a calm and warm vibe is more inviting than a restless one.
- Tidy up your personal space. A clear space, means a clear mind and less anxiety. If you can’t appreciate your own space, how will you appreciate another person? Self-care is all about feeling good and getting rid of any mess or clutter will make you feel more relaxed.
- Make time. Actively setting aside time to practise self-love is just as important as executing it. If you schedule the time into your day, you will most likely follow through with it. Don’t rush the process of taking care of yourself! Take all the time you need to practice self-love.
